Browsing the guide
The guide has no account or email sign-up.
Google Tag Manager
The site loads Google Tag Manager to manage website measurement tags. Loading it sends your IP address and browser request information to Google. Additional data collection depends on the tags enabled in the container. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Maps and location
Interactive maps load background tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those requests share your IP address and browser request information with the map provider. See OpenStreetMap Foundation’s privacy information.
“Find me” asks your browser for permission to use your location. The location is used in this page to show a marker and is not saved by the guide. Walking directions open Google Maps, where that service’s privacy practices apply.
Walk progress and read aloud
If you mark route stops as visited, that progress is stored in your browser on this device. Use “Reset progress” on the walk to clear its saved selection. Read aloud uses your browser’s speech service; available voices and processing depend on your device.
Booking links
When you open a partner booking link, the guide adds affiliate attribution and records an
outbound-click event. This can include the visit date, product URL, referring page, IP
address, browser information and campaign identifiers provided with your visit. A
first-party cookie, vbg_cid, identifies related booking clicks for up to 90
days. Payment and reservation details are handled by the booking partner.
